Stefan Oels was born in 1967 in Berlin, Germany, where he lived and worked until he moved to Spain/Malaga in 2011.
He started painting in the early 90s and his first works were shown in some cafés and the techno club E-Werk in Berlin, as well as once as part of a collective exhibition of the artist group 411 at Tata Castle in Hungary. After moving to Spain, several smaller exhibitions followed. The first one took place in July 2018 in Castilla. The exhibition venue was the former historic church of San Miguel in Ayllon, Segovia. In August 2018, another intimate exhibition was held in Cantalojas, Guadalajara. Then, in 2019, again in Castile, in the exhibition hall of the Town Hall of Riaza, Segovia.
The last exhibition took place in 2020, in Rincon de la Victoria, Málaga, in the exhibition room "Sala Mare Nostrum" of the Town Hall.
